Bitmain launches new mining machine: It can mine privacy coins, and its computing power is "stronger than Z9"

It is reported that Bitmain has launched a new mining machine Antminer Z11. It is understood that the mining machine can mine encrypted digital currencies based on the Equihash algorithm, such as zcash.

Bitmain stated that the mining machine has a computing power of up to 135K sol/s, which is "three times more powerful" than the Antminer Z9 released in May last year.

The company further claimed that the Antminer Z11 uses a 12nm chip. Due to its new internal circuit structure, the energy-saving effect of this mining machine has been greatly improved, saving 60% of electricity costs compared with Z9.

In addition, the mining machine Z11 has also made continuous innovations in heat dissipation.

When Bitmain launched the Antminer Z9, the zcash community tried to block the ZCash ASIC miner and considered changes to the zcash network. Because ASIC mining machines have higher computing power than general mining equipment based on GPU chips.

However, last June, zcash community members voted at the Zcon0 conference not to prioritize changing the zcash network rules to make it ASIC resistant.

Last month, Bitmain launched a new 7-nanometer chip BM1397, which can be used to mine encrypted digital currencies based on the SHA256 algorithm, such as BTC, BCH, etc.
